Barbara Lipson

As a tax manager at Frank & Company, Barbara Lipson works with many individuals as well as small businesses and their owners to minimize their tax burden and meet their tax filing obligations. She supervises staff accountants in the preparation of corporate, partnership, fiduciary, pension, and individual income tax returns. Barbara also works with several businesses with operations overseas and individuals who are living or have assets in foreign countries.
Barbara started her career in public accounting in 1989 which is when she first joined Frank & Company as a staff accountant. Barbara has spent most of her career working with tax clients at Frank & Company, but she has spent time working for an international public accounting firm, an internet startup, and a financial planning firm before returning to Frank & Company as a Tax Manager.
Barbara is a Certified Public Accountant, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and a member of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Virginia (UVa). After working for six years, Barbara returned to UVa where she earned her Masters of Science in Taxation. During her time away from the office, Barbara manages the 4Paws Rescue Team, www.fourpaws.org, an animal-related nonprofit organization.
